How to get to Gimmelwald by train:
– Take the train from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen.
– In Lauterbrunnen change to the bus (direction Stechelberg), leave the bus at Schilthorn station
– Take the cable car in the direction of direction Mürren, purchase a ticket to Gimmelwald
– Get out at Gimmelwald, reach the hotel within 2 minutes on foot
How to get to Gimmelwald by car:
– Leave Interlaken Ost direction Lauterbrunnen; set your GPS to “Stechelberg, Schilthornstation”
– Park your car at the cablecar station in Stechelberg
– Take the cable car to Gimmelwald (Gimmelwald is a car free village, so you must leave the car in Stechelberg)
– Get out in Gimmelwald, reach the hotel within 3 minutes on foot
How to get to Gimmelwald on foot:
Gimmelwald is a stop on the famous “Bear Trek Long Distance Hike”.
– Walk from Meiringen to Grosse Scheidegg, Kleine Scheidegg, Wengen, Stechelberg, and then it’s better to take the cable car up to Gimmelwald.
